The 40-011 boards come with square-head bolts that slip into slots in B-Dog's router table's fence and hold the workpiece down to the table and into slots in the router table to hold the workpiece against the fence. If you purchase the featherboards with the 40-012 miter-slot adapter they're easy to use in the table-saw miter slot of most saws. As an accessory item they are invaluable when milling long, thin work pieces. In my situation I was fabricating rails and stiles for raised panel doors. If consistent even pressure is not applied when running the piece through the router bit, the end result could be an uneven cut, or worse, a ruined piece. I can see why someone would design a set like this, it sounds good in theory, but the fact of the matter is that when I am cutting wood, I only need the stick, and once I am done, I don't need this wobbly storage for either pencil or tape. Stick is really good, though I am sure there are others on the market, or the one you made yourself that serves the same purpose. Again, don't get me wrong, this is a well made product, I just doubt you will use "docking station" ...more

I like the fact that it is narrow enough to do thing cuts in the table saw. The offset handle also helps by staying (and keeping your hand) out of the way from the cut. I agree with a previous reviewer that a couple of magnets on the base would be great to keep this on the side of a machine. ...more

I bought the Bench Dog push stick for use on my table saw after a close friend had lost part of two fingers in an accident on his table saw. I have since used it to cut wide and narrow parts with great ease. I really like the device. The non-slip material on the bottom makes it very easy to control both feed and position. The handle is in a great position allowing positive control without getting in the way of my saws blade gaurd. Very impressed with the quality of the cabinet (all baltic birch) and the engineering that went into the design of it. The router plate that comes with it is predrilled for quite a few different routers, it fit my old Ryobi re600 fine. Adjustments are easy enough. The fence is an aluminum extrusion with MDF inserts. I spent several months looking at router tables and collecting plans to build my own! Because of these reviews, the features of the table and it's low price, I decided to buy the Bench Dog 40-001. We use this router table along with the Bench Dog lift as a basis of a small unit to custom machine samples for an instrument we sell. I like this table, but with a couple of comments. One is that the table Bench Dog is currently selling does not look like the one in the picture. Current finish is white mdf. I keep thinking it is going to be plywood, but it is not.
